The tiger has been said to symbolize harmony, beauty, protection, power and justice. It also symbolizes the struggle and work required to achieve one's goals.
COVID-19 has certainly changed the struggles we all have as families. Thank you for your patience as we have worked through the challenges of reopening schools. We look forward to working together with parents, families and community members to assist our students in preparing them for their futures. As a small community, we are challenged by today’s demands of educators, administrators and our Board of Education. Challenging educational times require us to pull together and work as a team to accept and embrace opportunities.
As a district, we ask for your assistance in NOT sending your child to school if they are ill. Daily health checks at home including temperatures being taken will definitely make a difference. Your child should not come to school if they have a temperature above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. We ask that you support your child in learning to wash and sanitize their hands, practice social distancing and wearing a face covering.
Security and mental health services have are extremely important during this pandemic. We are continuing to work closely with Personal Family Counseling Services (PFCS) to create support for our students and their families within the school day.
How can you help us? As parents, we NEED you to be involved in your child's education. We NEED you to attend Parent-Teacher Conferences. We NEED you to get your child to intervention and remediation opportunities. We NEED you to reach out to our staff when you or your child needs help. We NEED you to accept help when it is offered. As a community, we must stand together for the welfare of our children. Working together, we can truly make a difference in every child's life. Join us on our journey toward excellence!
