Strasburg Students Showcase Talent!!
On Thursday, March 17, Strasburg students participated in the Strasburg Talent Show. The purpose of the talent show was to raise money for a charity, the National Multiple-Sclerosis Society.
Mr. Nussbaum organized the event. Stage crew and other operations were provided by the National Honor Society members and their adviser, Dr. Christy. Ms. Ripley and Neil Ripley managed the stage lights and sound system. Mrs. Firebaugh sang for the opening act.
Nine acts competed by singing, dancing, comedy as well as performing instrumental pieces in the talent show. The audience members could purchase as many tickets as they wished. Each ticket could be used to cast a vote for the performance act of their choice. The price of each ticket was $1. The talent show event raised $514 for the National Multiple-Sclerosis Society.
The talent show was made a success by all of the participants. The winner of the talent show was freshman, Dwight McGlumphy for his singing and guitar playing of the Lynard Skynyrd classic Simple Man. Congratulations to Dwight and all the students who participated in the show.
