Message from Mrs. Brown

Message from Mrs. Brown on the 2018 District Report Card

I am extremely proud of our students, staff, and community!  The Ohio Department of Education released the state report card information on September 14, 2018.  We are happy to announce that Strasburg had the highest overall grade in Tuscarawas County!  We earned a B.

We also congratulate and celebrate with Tusky Valley which earned the highest Performance Index score in Tuscarawas County!

We are excited for our students and the entire staff for this accomplishment!  We truly appreciate the continual backing we receive from our community and parents.  Thank you for continuing to support your children with interventions, opportunities for growth outside of the school day and by working closely with our staff.

I want to publicly thank our staff for their determination and diligence in building strong relationships with students, encouraging students to give their best, working with colleagues to develop strategies for individual students to improve, providing morning intervention times in the MS/HS and No New Instruction Time in the Elementary.

As a small district, we have plenty of challenges, but we need to celebrate the hard work of our children and staff.  Thank you for working hand-in-hand with us to make a difference in our children’s lives.

Strasburg's Girls' Golf Team

Congratulations to the Strasburg Tigers’ Girls’ Golf Team!!

The Strasburg Girls Golf Team for the 2016 season consisted of 8 girls Alanna Shelter(Sr.), Kaylah Ullom(Sr.), Brynn Eckhardt(Sr.), Brooke Spinell(Jr.), Olivia Martin(Jr.),  Emalee Nave(So.),  Katie Vranich(So.), Rebekah Sulgalski(Fr). The goal of the team was not to beat everyone they played. The goal was to beat the teams they needed to in order to take the IVC title. With hard work, the goal was met. At the end of the season, the team ended up with a BLANK record. After the regular season, the team had to face the challenge of sectionals. Unfortunately, the team did not move on to districts even though it was one of their best scores for the season.

However individually, Brynn was able to advance to Districts. At sectionals, she shot an 85, and she was able to advance to districts with that number. Unfortunately, at Districts, she did not play as well as she had hoped and did not advance. As a team the girls are very happy with the 2016 season.
