Principal's Message

June 26, 2016

Greetings,

It is hard to believe that in just a few short weeks the 2016-2017 school year will be upon us. We are excited and optimistic about the upcoming year and look forward to getting things started on Wednesday, August 17th, as we welcome back our students. Our message this year to these young men and women that we have the opportunity to serve is simple, “Be the Best Version of Yourself.” In everything that you do, are you able to look yourself in the mirror at the end of each day and say, “I was the very best version of myself today?”

As the new Principal of Strasburg High School and Middle School, I am extremely humbled and honored to serve the Strasburg-Franklin Local School District in this capacity. I look forward to meeting and working with all of the students, staff, parents, and community members in this great district. I am entering my ninth year in education. For the first five years of my career, I served as an Intervention Specialist at Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia, Ohio. The last three years I have served as a Special Education Coordinator at Buckeye Career Center. Many of you are familiar with me already as I have been the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach here at Strasburg the past two years and will continue in that role this year as well. My wife, Crystal, is a third grade teacher at Dover South Elementary and I have two daughters Rylee (4) and Kennedy (1).

My greatest initiative this year is to make sure that we are always “Keeping the Main Thing, the Main Thing.” In our business, the main thing is KIDS. It is important that as educators, parents, and community members we never forget this. We cannot allow issues/obstacles that come up throughout the course of a school year to take our focus away from the main thing and what is really important. What matters most is doing what is best for the young men and women that we have the opportunity to serve each and every day and instilling that Tiger P.R.I.D.E. (Personal Responsibility in Developing Excellence) in them. It is my sincere desire to provide the tools and resources necessary for our students to acquire the skills and knowledge they need to become productive citizens and contribute positively to society. The greatest compliment we can ever receive from a student is when he/she says, “Because I go to Strasburg, because of the education I receive, and the experiences I have, I feel as though I have a greater opportunity to be successful in life.” Through a close and collaborative partnership with everyone associated with Strasburg High School and Middle School, I am confident we can make our school an even better place for our students to learn and grow. If you ever have any questions, or I can be of assistance in any way, please don’t hesitate to call me at 330.878.5571 or e-mail me at adam.hall@strasburgtigers.org.

Respectfully,

Adam Hall
